Best Advice About Novel Corona Virus
I’m sharing some comments sent to my friend after she showed me a link to a page at ABS-CBN News in The Philippines.
A Chinese child arriving in The Philippines is reported with the Novel Corona virus and has been hospitalized. This applies to you anywhere in the world so continue reading.
The best prevention is to keep you and the tribe away from crowds of any type including buses, shopping, (oh my gosh) the face mask isn’t enough. This virus even attaches through eyeballs! I left my gas mask in San Francisco, high on a hill, it calls to me….
Keep hands clean, avoid touching eyes, nose, mouth, other mucus membrane with dirty hands.
The good side is: most who die of this are older than age 40. the world will lose about 1,050,000,000 (1-Billion fifty-million) people mostly poor, dirty, sickly, older. The other 15% are carriers. Their symptoms are not feeling well and diarrhea.
People may not know they’re carrying the virus, and doctors don’t yet know how long it takes to develop. Symptoms include a runny nose, headache, cough, sore throat, fever and a general feeling of being unwell, according to the CDC. It looks like a cold. May include cold with diarrhea. It’s going to contaminate the entire environment.
The end result will be 15% fewer people, mostly over age 50, the rest will have a stronger immune system.
In a worst case we’ll all avoid going out as much as we can, and educate kids at home. The cheapest disinfectant is bleach in water. Wipe down everything with it, even give dishes and eating utensils a final dip in bleach water.
I cannot reach the ABS-CBN News page. It appears they may have removed it. If so, the government is panicked and trying to hide the truth. I think our hazard handling people and medical staff are the best we can find and they’ll isolate this child. The few cases coming in, if/when detected will be isolated. If it spreads through the population our best protection is to keep everyone at home.
Do the best you can to feed yourselves with what you have, what you grow, and shop in open air markets away from crowds.
Military personnel will have to follow orders and likely they will be safe on base. They’ll be rather strict there about maintaining everyone’s good health.
You have more than a 70% chance of weathering this storm and coming through it everyone alive and well.
As for me, I can go shopping early before crowds are out. That’s my best defense. I’m not a party person. I remain at home. I recommend you do the same.
